What is a Virtual Classroom?

A virtual classroom is an online learning environment that allows for live interactions between the tutor and the learners as they are participating in learning activities.

In other words, the virtual classroom is shared online space where the learners and the tutor work together simultaneously. Usually these interactions take place through video conferencing.

Training in a synchronous virtual classroom can only be successful with active participation and engagement of the learner. During the virtual session there should be opportunities for frequent interactions between the learner and the tutor.
